"Extremely Disappointed After Years of Loyalty – Dishonest and Unreliable Service I was previously a loyal customer of Andy Barajas Insurance Agency for over six years. My earlier review reflected some appreciation for their efforts to fix mistakes, even when errors had occurred. However, after repeated problems and clear dishonesty, I can no longer recommend this agency in good faith. Throughout my time as a customer, I gave them many chances. Unfortunately, after working with them long enough, I realized that they repeatedly lied about my coverage details. On several occasions, when I caught them providing inaccurate information, they were left speechless and would attempt to transfer me to another agent, claiming that person “knew better.” My father also had a poor experience with them, noting early on that this agency was dishonest. Most recently, my experience this month confirmed my decision to withdraw my support. I contacted the agency at my father's request to make an early payment for our homeowners insurance. The agent informed me that payment could not be accepted because the policy renewal was still two months away—a claim that made little sense. I then explicitly requested that the new bill be sent directly to me rather than to my mortgage company, as applying it through escrow would increase my mortgage payments. The agent confirmed via text message that they would send the bill to my home address (I have proof of this conversation). Despite this agreement, three days later, the bill was sent directly to my mortgage company without my consent—exactly what I had asked them to avoid. This behavior shows a complete disregard for the customer's clear and direct instructions. Shockingly, the same issue occurred last year, causing my mortgage payment to increase unexpectedly. That time, I had to spend hours on the phone to resolve the problem, and my father had to intervene and argue with the agent. When confronted, the agent excused their actions by claiming, "Most people prefer it this way," as if that justified ignoring my explicit request. Whether or not other customers choose to have their escrow accounts billed is irrelevant—agents should never assume or impose decisions, especially when clear, documented instructions are provided. What finally made me rewrite my review was the blatant disregard shown after I had been assured that the bill would be sent directly to me. After six years of loyalty, I feel this agent operates based on personal judgment rather than following State Farm’s policies and standards. In my experience, they are not trustworthy, are willing to mislead customers, and fail to respect the relationship built over years. I can no longer recommend Andy Barajas Insurance Agency to anyone who values honesty, professionalism, and customer respect."

"My daughter who lives in the Bay Area had a problem with her insurance company (not State Farm). I called & spoke with Fred who answered numerous questions & dealt directly with my daughter, even though she’s not a customer.
